NJ.COM Suburban News: Students from Evergreen School in Scotch Plains Donate Toys

Evergreen Elementary School students in Scotch Plains, had the opportunity to experience the true meaning of the holidays by teaming up with Second Chance Toys to donate hundreds of their own gently used plastic toys.

With the generous help of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?,  the toys were immediately transported to New Community Corporation Harmony House in Newark, a transitional housing facility, where Newark mayor Luis Quintana (third, from left) and Steve Weatherford, punter for the NY Giants (middle), were on hand to distribute the toys to all the deserving children. Also pictured are Monsignor William J. Linder, founder of NCCHH and Don Shauger, event coordinator. Full Article
